Shalaka Ekbote is an award-winning entrepreneur, STEM educator, and Founder of STEM Birds. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunications and a Master's degree in Software Engineering & Telecommunications, she is passionate about making STEM education accessible, engaging, and inspiring for every child. Since founding STEM Birds in 2017, she has helped thousands of students explore Robotics, Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Science, Engineering, and Mathematics through hands-on learning experiences.Shalaka Ekbote, founder of STEM Birds, is an award-winning entrepreneur and STEM education pioneer dedicated to sparking curiosity in young minds. With a background in engineering and education, she has made robotics, coding, and science hands-on and accessible for children.

Through dynamic programs, she empowers kids to think creatively, build confidently, and innovate fearlessly. Passionate about shaping future innovators, Shalaka is ensuring the next generation has the skills, confidence, and inspiration to dream big, build bold, and make a difference.

With over 7 years at STEM Birds, Nithika Elugula has played a pivotal role in developing interactive, hands-on STEM courses. As Senior Course Coordinator and Coding Instructor, she combines her coding expertise with a passion for creating engaging learning experiences that make complex concepts accessible and fun.Nithika works closely with the team to ensure courses are up-to-date with industry trends and designed to inspire curiosity and problem-solving in students. Her commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment has made her a key contributor to the growth of STEM Birds’ innovative curriculum.

Dr. Gauri Lohar

Science Stream Lead at STEM Birds
Dr. Gauri Lohar is a Chemistry professional with over 14 years of teaching experience and a strong passion for science and STEM education. As the Science Stream Lead at STEM Birds, she develops science lab curricula and hands-on learning programs that bring scientific concepts to life through engaging experiments and practical activities. Gauri also teaches robotics, Scratch, and basic Python, helping students develop creativity, computational thinking, problem-solving, and confidence. Her approach combines scientific knowledge with practical learning to make STEM concepts engaging, accessible, and meaningful. She is passionate about inspiring curiosity and encouraging the next generation of STEM learners to explore, create, and discover.
